Maid in the Meadow, a small business, located in the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park.

Allison, a beauty and massage therapist, specialises in organic skincare formulation and teaches workshops on how you can make your own beautiful, organic skincare products.

My name is Allison, I grew up in the wild and beautiful landscape of the West Highlands of Scotland and have always loved the simple "less is more" approach to health and beauty, using "nature to nurture,"

I have been involved in the beauty industry since 1982 when I worked in retail cosmetics for a large high street chemist and then later for the Body Shop.

I qualified in beauty therapy, aromatherapy and Swedish massage therapy in 1999, and later trained in hot stone massage, Indian head massage and seated acupressure massage.  I studied Reiki up to Level 3 between 2000 and 2007.

Following an illness, I made a lifestyle change and enrolled in the Diploma of natural skincare formulation and teacher training course with The School of Natural Skincare in 2014 and between 2014 - 2017 delivered their live skincare workshops in Norfolk, as one of their licensed teachers. In the Autumn of 2017 I had a timber workshop built, soley dedicated to teaching my successful workshops as an independant, small business.

The Maid in the Meadow organic skincare workshops are relaxed, fun, creative and informative one day workshops where you can learn how to make your own organic skincare products, using a large range of high quality organic plant oils, butters, waxes, hydrosols and essential oils.

All products created in the workshops are made using organic ingredients, grown without pesticides, sourced from local reputable suppliers where possible and using recycled or recyclable packaging. The ingredients used in the products are not tested on animals and all fragrances are derived from organic essential oils.
